The Wawanesa Life Insurance Company has been a proud member of the Wawanesa Group of Companies since 1960. Wawanesa Life complements the insurance lines of Wawanesa Mutual and expands the reach of “Earning your Trust since 1896”.

Since 1979, the Group Operation of Wawanesa Life markets Group Life and Health Insurance products primarily to Employer – Employee groups, including Multiple Employer Groups.

Through Strategic Alliances, Wawanesa Life Group Operation expands its product portfolio and is positioned to offer expertise and services in the areas of Disability Claim Management, Travel Assistance and Pay Direct Drugs.

Wawanesa Life distributes its Group Benefit Plans through Plan Advisors, Brokers, Benefit Consulting Firms and Third Party Administrators.

Basic & Enhanced plans provide benefits for groups of 3 – 9 lives. Two pre-designed benefit plans support business owners/managers in providing creative and innovative protection that touches employee lives.

In targeting businesses starting at 10 lives, Wawanesa Life’s Custom plans follow an underwriting approach allowing for the individual assessment of each group. Rather than focusing on any one characteristic of a group, such as industry, the emphasis is on the overall risk profile of the group and working with the agent and client on finding a mutually agreeable solution.
